Mostly Mammals

A key component to all my creations is to make them relatable, evoking specific emotive responses. My equine series are expressive, highlighting movement and vibrancy. The large cat sculptures exude strength, intensity and power. The most recent wolf sculptures captures their mystique. Grace is the common trait in all of them.

By utilizing anthropomorphism, whimsy, parody and subversiveness I show art can elicit a positive effect on our consciousness. Zen Bull and Lotta Bull have distinct nods to Eastern philosophies but as the name suggests, dissent to take themselves too seriously. The ever popular sheep series plays with the idea of herd mentality, following the crowd and celebrating the individuality of the black sheep.

EweWho

In 2021 I was commissioned by Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez, aka A-Rod, to sculpt a wolf for the previous owner of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

My appreciation of wolves and admiration for their intelligence, spirit has inspired me to create a new version. A percentage of sale proceeds will be donated to Wolf advocacy groups as wolves are currently threatened again from indiscriminate barbaric hunting.
